HYBRIDITY

I’m a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, drawing, bad music, podcasting, writing and general fucking around. Over the years, I have started integrating these diverse approaches into one practice: the art of creative relating to Reality. This meta-medium can take on a multitude of expressions, of which my current work is only a timid beginning.

One must have an angle, and my perspective is always to find some way to marry and harmonize contrasting currents in existence, society and art. As the daughter of two nations at war, hybridity and honoring the both/and are my spiritual magnet, my life’s work, and the mode which gives me joy and ease. Inspired – among other influences – by the complementary dualism of Taoism and the I Ching, I seek intimate knowledge of the many ways opposites can relate, and hold them all as beautiful and sacred.
